4th Annual GSITE Conference

The 4th Annual GSITE Conference will be held Thursday 20, 2024 at the UMSL Millennium Student Center at 17 Arnold B Grobman Drive. Raffle Prizes will be drawn for in-person attendees. A Social will be held after the conference. There will be a virtual option available for those that cannot make it to the conference in person.

Sponsorship packages are available now! If you are interested in becoming a sponsor for this year’s GSITE conference, we have multiple package options to choose from. All sponsorship packages include your logo displayed on the GSITE website throughout the 2025 calendar year and your logo on all general conference materials. Other sponsorship packages come with additional perks as detailed in the tiers below. Individual registration is not included in the sponsorship packages and can be purchased separately. This annual conference has historically been attended by approximately 200 local professionals.

2025 Award Nominations

GSITE is excited to expand our awards program in 2025. This year, the Gateway Section will be awarding 3 professional awards: the GSITE Transportation Professional of the Year Award, the GSITE Transportation Achievement of the Year Award, and the GSITE Rising Star Award. Applications are available now to submit your nominations. The applications have been updated to directly align with the requirements of the MOVITE District awards program to allow GSITE members the opportunity to easily apply at other levels of the organization as well. Nominations should be submitted no later than Friday, January 31, 2025

For the first time ever, the Gateway Section is awarding one (1) student scholarship to encourage students to pursue a career path within the transportation industry. The application can be found below and all applications should be submitted no later than Friday, January 31, 2025

GSITE Transportation Professional of the Year Award:

An annual award may be presented to an individual member who has made outstanding contributions to the advancement of transportation/traffic engineering through service to GSITE/ITE and achievements in the transportation/traffic engineering profession. The award is intended to recognize an individual for contributions over a period of years. Download the application at the link below. Nominations should be submitted no later than Friday, January 31, 2025. 

GSITE Transportation Achievement of the Year Award:

The Transportation Achievement Award may be awarded annually for excellence in the advancement of transportation to meet human needs, by entities concerned with transportation such as governmental agencies, legislative bodies, consulting firms, industry, and other organizations. Beginning in 2025, one individual may also be recognized. Awards may be presented in the categories of:
• Complete Streets,
• Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO),
• Traffic Engineering,
• Planning,
• Safety, and
• Individual (no more than one award annually)

GSITE Rising Star Award:

An annual award presented to an individual to recognize achievement in transportation/traffic engineering by younger members. It is designed to recognize members at the Section level who are 35 years old or younger, who have already made an impact on the profession, have demonstrated the ability to lead the next generation, and have implemented innovative techniques to solve transportation problems. 2025 Student Scholarship

An annual scholarship is presented to a student within the Gateway Section of ITE (GSITE) area taking course work within a transportation-related field. The scholarship is intended to encourage students to pursue a career path within the transportation industry. Download the application at the link below.
